On a stone ridge overlooking the Massachusetts countryside, Yankee Cricket Bed and Breakfast offers guests a quiet woodlands retreat from the tourist activities of neighboring Sturbridge and the hustle of the thrice-yearly Brimfield Antiques Fair. Innkeepers Sherry and Bill Simonic warmly welcome guests and introduce them to the amenities of a brand new home with the coziness of an authentic 18th century inn.

The home, 500 feet from the country road, is set on 19 acres. Beyond the house is another ridge which opens to woodlands trails where activity-oriented guests may hike or snowshoe. The herb garden, fireplaced library, and Great Room hearth entice guests to kick off their shoes and relax with a book, a game, or quiet conversation.

SPECIAL NOTE:  We are OK as the Tornado that hit on

June 1, 2011 took out about 40 trees on the 2 acres our B&B sits on but it did minor damage to our home/B&B.  Not sure about our 17 acres behind us as have to focus on the area around our home.  We are so very lucky as there were a lot of people in Brimfield that lost homes and their business.  Our community has reached out as well as the state and the federal government to help everyone who has been hard hit by the storm.  We will have more on our site, but have been spending time cutting and splitting a lot of wood.  On the positive side this year the fireplace should start up early November and not stop until late March and for many years after!  Thank you all for your well wishes and offers of help.  Sherry and Bill Simonic.
